Join us for the 3rd annual Regenerative Poultry Convergence at the Weitz Center for Creativity in Northfield, Minnesota. This in-person event brings together agriculture enthusiasts, farmers, and regenerative poultry experts for two days of learning and networking. Discover innovative techniques to raise chickens with a holistic-systems approach.  From paddock establishment, to processing and marketing, our speakers will share their knowledge and experiences. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable insight into the developments of the ecosystem.

Thursday, March 21st

We will spend the day digging into the agronomics and critical business development components of the Poultry-Centered Regenerative Agriculture System. Workshops will focus on farm-level establishment and there will be plenty of opportunities designed for networking with fellow farmers and financial service providers. Regen Ag Alliance will share information related to upcoming producer engagement opportunities. Members from the science and research team will share preliminary findings relevant to farmers.

Farmer Panel discussing all levels of coop implementation and PCRA infrastructure, with considerations for grain bins, brooders, water and feed systems.

Paddock Establishment & Care 

Presentation and discussion on managing paddocks for chickens with some general information on hazelnut production.

What’s Brooding? 

A discussion with Louis Kemp and Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin on the importance of breed choice and their care in the first 24hrs to 28 days.

Update on the planning process and findings related to collective decision-making? This session is intended to build capacity to structure collective governance for the PCRA  ecosystem. Session will include a collective decision-making workshop with the focus on making our first decision as a collective on  when and how to build an ecosystem council.

Training Session on The Consent Principle and Decision-Making Protocol

Facilitators Ma’raj Sheikh and Michelle will take attendees through a training session focused on the consent principle.

Regenerative Poultry Council: An Ecosystem Organism  

A proposal will be presented that will nurture growth and development of the Poultry-Centered Regenerative Agriculture Movement. Affinity groups will converge and move to lunch with their groups.
